San Diego: Automattic has brought out an iOS app update for its popular WordPress blogging platform. With version 3.7, users will have better account management, a native WordPress.com Reader, and more.
WordPress for iOS 3.7 is possibly the 4th update that Automattic has made over the past year. It comes following company founder Matt Mullenweg’s “State of the Word” address last month where he disclosed 31% of users are posting through the WordPress iOS app.
Managing numerous accounts has also been improved in this newest version. Automattic says that many developments took place under-the hood so users won’t observe a thing. However, the company says the app will now do a better job relating itself to several services such as your Jetpack, Reader, blog, and anything else.
The app now also supports Thai.
The release of WordPress for iOS 3.7 comes just days after the version 3.6 of the blogging platform was started on. For those employing it on their desktop, it provides better post locking, new blog-centric theme, new HTML5 media player and other varied features.
Automattic is on a quite aggressive development track in 2013 as it plans on beginning numerous new versions with a focus on stability, design, quicker iterations and security.
